I Feel Pretty

I did something today that not many women would do. I handed my 15 year old daughter my shears and told her to cut my hair for me. She had had no prior experience in cutting hair, does not take cosmetology in school, and barely cuts a straight line on paper. But I trusted her. And she did a great job. It’s a little shorter than I initially wanted it. But as my best friend in 9th grade told me years ago:  The difference between a bad hair cut and a good hair cut is two weeks.

In this case she did a pretty good job. And my hair is healthier and prettier and I feel good about how I look.
